Trade Minister Ömer Bolat announced that the economic cooperation between the two countries has strengthened at the Türkiye-Montenegro Round Table Meeting held within the scope of the Global Transport Corridors Forum held in Istanbul.
Minister Bolat stated that products such as furniture, jewelry and construction materials stand out in Türkiye's exports to Montenegro, while iron and steel products and chemicals are imported from Montenegro. Bolat also stated that the activities of Turkish investors in Montenegro are increasing every year and thousands of Turkish companies are active in the construction, health, tourism and banking sectors.
It was also noted that the Free Trade Agreement signed between Türkiye and Montenegro in 2010 contributed significantly to the development of economic relations by removing barriers to trade.
